Following the massively successful global tour of 2016/17 in support of their 16th studio album “The Book of Souls” Iron Maiden are back on the road again in 2018 with a series of arena and festival shows in Europe on the “Legacy of The Beast” World Tour which opened in Tallinn, Estonia on Saturday May 26th and finishing at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday 11th August.
Mixing the front of house sound for Iron Maiden for this tour will be Ken “Pooch” Van Druten, Mike Hackman will be assisting Pooch, taking care of mixing the monitor duties will be Mike Mule and Steve “Gonzo” Smith, assisting Mike and Gonzo with setting up the monitor system will is Philip Shenton.
Pooch, Mike and Gonzo will each be mixing a Digico SD7 digital console with Digico SD Racks. Pooch also elected to add several of Digico’s new 32 bit Mic Pre-Amp input cards.
As in previous years, ML Executives are supplying the complete stage amplification package and a series of d&b Audiotechnik wedge monitors. ML Executives is also supplying a set of L-Acoustics ARCS which remain built into the wall of the set for the duration of the tour as part of the vocal side-fill package.
The band began their Legacy of The Beast tour in Tallin, Estonia on the 26th of May and continue their route round Europe before finishing in London’s O2 Arena, UK on the 10th & 11th of August. For a full list of tour dates see the Iron Maiden’s website here.
