ML Executives is proud to have continued our relationship with the Sundown Festival in 2016, providing audio equipment for the Main Stage of the two day event held on Norfolk Showground.
The Sundown Festival takes place over three days at the beginning of each September. It was started in 2011 as the Norfolk Spectacular, being renamed the following year to it’s current title. In 2016 the festival added a third stage and saw the daily capacity rise to 20,000.
Headline artists included Chase & Status on the Saturday evening and Jason Derulo on the Sunday evening. Other acts included Jess Glynne, Years & Years, Fleur East, Sigala, Dizzee Rascal and Becky Hill amongst others.
L-Acoustics for Sundown Festival 2016
As in previous years ML Executives supplied two hangs of L-Acoustics V-DOSC as the main PA system. These were complemented by 24 x SB28’s, 6 x dV-DOSC and 12 x ARCS. The system was powered by Lab.Gruppen amplifiers and Lake processing. The monitor system was made up of L-Acoustics 115FM wedge monitors, ARCS and dV-SUBS. These were all powered by Lab.Gruppen amplifiers with XTA processing.
Dual line systems were used to facilitate the rapid changeovers demanded by the schedule. The front of house sound was mixed on a pair of AVID Profile systems, while monitors was mixed on a pair of Yamaha PM5D’s. Radio Microphones were all Shure UHF-R series systems. Wireless in-ear-monitoring was available using Sennheiser‘s G3 range of products. All equipment was supplied from ML Executives’ extensive range of audio stock.
The seven-man team supplied by ML Executives was made up of Martin Hale (project manager & stage patch), Mike Hackman (system & front of house engineer), Tom New (front of house engineer), Pat Fisher (system, mains & stage), Dan Draper (system & stage), Stefan Manko (monitor engineer) & John Chadwick (monitors engineer).
